Most of the Universities come from California, with it being the state with the most campuses in the top 20 so far. And with gay marriage the top debate now that the California Supreme Court has overturned the ban on gay marriage in that lovely state, wouldn't that be a controversial topic in college forums today. What does being gay in college mean? Well, for starters, it is the assumption that once your out, you face a lot of scrutiny. There are differing views about homosexuality today, something that is prevalent in the Web. So, how do colleges respond to this ongoing pressure from the gay community? Well, some colleges today have adopted centers to address gay issues and form a safe haven for those that need it. Along with the many clubs and organizations that form on campuses, there are also graduation ceremonies for the GLBT, called Lavender Graduations. GLBT proms, GLBT classes, and even gay and lesbian fraternities/sororities respectively have gotten a buzz from those that are finding out more about the gay college community. Still, there are growing concerns among those that are "out" in college, many not even "out" with family members or friends. It may be difficult, even at a time of progression, with the elections coming up, how are gays able to cope with the growing hysteria among hateful groups?

Hi -- I've sent you an email already but sometimes they don't get through. Would you like a domain for this blog? If so send an email to charles -at- orble.com (change the -at- into a @) and he will be able to set one up for you.

You may also need to add the email address admin -at- orblemail.com to your address book in order to receive Orble admin emails in the future.

Thanks,
Jon.
